Overview
The Golden Club Plant is a great plant addition that provides early interest to any pond or water garden. This easy-to-care-for perennial is related to Peace Lilies, Jack-in-the-Pulpits and Calla Lilies. However, the Golden Club is the only member of the Family Araceae that lacks the spathe (hood or leafy sheath that surrounds the spadix). The leaves of the Golden Club Plant have a waxy layer that gives it a silvery sheen and highly water-repellent properties. Depending on planting depth, the water repellent and buoyant leaves add another layer of interest as a flowering, emergent pond plant. Flowers typically bloom in spring to early summer. The Golden Club Plant self-propagates through seeds and creeping rhizomes. Established plants can also be divided. Zones 5-11.
