Overview
* | Natural aquarium sea salt with elevated levels of calcium, magnesium, and carbonates |
* | Biologically balanced Pro Salt supports sustainable, accelerated aquarium coral growth |
* | Ideal salt for reef aquariums, especially LPS & SPS corals, and for growing coral frags |
Coral Pro Salt is specifically formulated for use with reverse osmosis water. Natural, evaporated sea salt is enriched with refined minerals to safely elevate calcium levels and buffer capacity. Replicates natural seawater to help support delicate marine life and invertebrates in home reef aquariums. Salt is produced by small batch process to ensure homogeneity and consistency of the salt mixture. Chemically balanced formula is nitrate and phosphate free.
Table shows calcium levels of Coral Pro mixed in RO water at 24°C/75°F and salinity.
s.g. | Salinity | Calcium | Qty of Salt |
1.021 | 30.6 ppt | 420 ppm | 33.4 g/l 1.4 lb/5 US gal |
1.023 | 32.8 ppt | 450 ppm | 35.8 g/l 1.5 lb/5 US gal |
1.025 | 35.0 ppt | 480 ppm | 38.2 g/l 1.6 lb/5 US gal |
Red Sea's Coral Pro Salt is based on natural salt harvested by solar evaporation of the waters of the exotic Red Sea. It is enriched with other refined minerals to faithfully replicate the seawater found at natural coral reefs.
The Coral Pro salt mix has been formulated specifically for use with reverse osmosis or soft tap water and contains the elevated levels of calcium and buffer capacity necessary for vibrant coral growth. For best results, test the water's chemical parameters regularly and perform water changes as required.
Instructions:
Never mix salt in an aquarium containing animals. Always use clean, nontoxic utensils.
- Use RO, distilled or soft dechlorinated tap water.
- Add 1.4 lbs of Red Sea Coral Pro Salt to 5 gallons of water.
- Mix vigorously and aerate until all of the salt is dissolved and the pH has stabilized to 8.2-8.4. Salinity: Recommended specific gravity (S.G.) 1.021 at 75°F (Note: S.G. varies with water temperature).
- If required, add more salt or water to achieve correct S.G.
