The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Green Polyp Cratiformis Coral is a highly unusual encrusting form of Acropora coral that, at first glance, resembles a Montipora coral. This eye-catching color variety of Acropora coral flaunts exceptional coloration showcasing a gorgeous brick red body color with contrasting vibrant green polyps. New growth along the edges are a beautiful periwinkle blue coloration. Propagated here at our Coral Farm & Aquatic Life Facility in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, our LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Green Polyp Cratiformis Coral offers reef aquarium hobbyists a fantastic aquacultured coral sure to inject incredible visual interest to any reef aquarium landscape thanks to its encrusting growth habit and vibrant coloration.

The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Green Polyp Cratiformis Coral can thrive under moderate to high lighting conditions achieved by T-5 fluorescent, powerful LED, or the more intense metal halide light fixtures. For best care, it is imperative to maintain high water quality for the LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Green Polyp Cratiformis Coral ensuring proper pH, alkalinity and calcium levels, while keeping phosphate and nitrate levels as close to zero as possible. Along with proper lighting and water quality, the LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Green Polyp Cratiformis Coral will thrive when provided medium to strong, intermittent water flow within the aquarium. This can be easily achieved with the addition of powerheads, wavemakers, or water circulation pumps.

A peaceful reef inhabitant, the LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Green Polyp Cratiformis Coral will not bother other neighboring corals. However, be sure to provide ample space away from other corals as it can grow quickly under ideal conditions. The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Green Polyp Cratiformis Coral satisfies the majority of its nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within its body. However, it will benefit from supplemental feedings in the form of micro-plankton or foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates.

The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Green Polyp Cratiformis Coral is mounted on a fired ceramic plug that can be placed easily and securely in or between the rockwork in the reef aquarium.
