Overview
The Ocellate Damselfish is also known as the Princess Damselfish and originates from the waters of Fiji. They can be variable in color, but generally have a blue body fading to a yellow/orange coloration. The dorsal fin also has a black eyespot at the lower rear edge.
A 30 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of hiding places is suitable. Due to its aggressive behavior as an adult, it will do well with other moderately aggressive fish in a community aquarium. It will not harm invertebrates or disturb the tank setting.
Offer the Ocellate Damselfish a variety of foods including frozen brine and mysis shrimp, dried seaweed, and flake foods.
