Overview
The Panda Cory Cat comes from the tributaries of larger river systems in Central and South America, and is a peaceful bottom dwelling scavenger. The Panda is gold with black patches covering the eyes, dorsal fin, and at the base of the tail.
The Panda Cory Cat requires a well planted aquarium with plenty of hiding places that provide relief from the light. A smooth sand or gravel substrate is needed because of the easily damaged barbels. They enjoy being in numbers, so a small school of six or more is ideal for these cats.
Breeding the Panda Cory Cat has not been documented, but it is suggested that their requirements are similar to the Elegans Cory Cat.
The Panda Cory Cat is omnivorous and will require a well balanced diet including dried, flake, frozen, and live foods. Feed a quality flake and pellet food as well as frozen brine and live worms.

This cory cat is so fun to watch but you must be careful that if this cory cat comes too small when you receive it that you give it hiding places. Because 3/4 of 1 inch is very small so be careful. This fish is very entertaining and energectic.

This is a great little cory cat. These little guys are so much fun to watch as thet scurry up and down the sides of the tank and sniff out food on the bottom. I have three Pandas that are at least two years old. They do best in schools of five or more.

Our Panda Cories are enjoyable to watch as they school across the bottom of our aquariums. Our original 2 pair of pandas have multipled into about 24. We never can get a good count. They bred on their own, without any special prep on our part. Quite a suprise.

My 3 Panda Corys arrived today and are unbelievably cute! The are lively, active and once acclimated they immediately began rooting around for food. Very healthy, beautiful fish that are entertaining to watch!
