Overview
The Cave Basslet is a deep water species found throughout the Caribbean. Its brilliant red, yellow, and blue colorations make it a striking addition to any aquarium.
Cave Basslets generally get along with larger fish, however, may become territorial with fish of the same species. In the aquarium, Cave Basslets would appreciate lots of caves and rocks to hide amongst. Because they tend to be deep-water dwellers, they do better in an aquarium with slightly subdued lighting.
The Cave Basslet, being carnivorous, will do well on a diet of meaty foods including marine fish, crustacean flesh, mysis shrimp, and quality frozen preparations.
