Overview
The Indian Vagabond Butterflyfish is a moderately-sized butterflyfish attaining a length of 8 inches. This chevron-patterned butterflyfish is found in the waters of the Indo-Pacific. The Indian Vagabond Butterfly is visually pleasing with a silvery-white body color with grey lines that form a chevron pattern that is eye catching.
The Indian Vagabond Butterflyfish boast distinct markings, sporting 2 vertical dark brown/black bars. The first bar starts at its forehead and runs vertically down its face and through its eye. The second bar runs down the posterior of its body. The caudal and anal fins are yellow with black markings.
Once acclimated, Indian Vagabond Butterflyfish will make a nice addition to a fish-only marine aquarium at least 75 gallons in size, aquascaped with generous amount of live rock with plenty of open spaces to swim. Like many butterflyfish the Indian Vagabond Butterflyfish does best is a mature or established system with high water quality.
Indian Vagabond Butterflyfish are solitary as juveniles and will usually pair off as an adult. This species of butterflyfish will do well in a community tank with a variety of other species that are not too territorial or aggressive. Offer the Indian Vagabond Butterflyfish a variety of meaty foods,
