Overview
The Rusty Angelfish is aptly named for its predominate red or amber coloration punctuated with black dots that decrease in size from dorsal to anal and pelvic fins. The anal fin is dark and both the dorsal and anal fins are rimmed in bright, sapphire-blue.
The Rusty Angelfish requires at least a 70 gallon tank with large amounts of live rock for hiding and grazing. Not a good reef dweller, the Rusty Angelfish is prone to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles. It is best kept as the only Dwarf Angelfish in the tank.
The diet of the Rusty Angelfish should include Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis shrimp, and other meaty items.

A wonderful fish with lots of personality. It does a great job of grazing on algae but it does nip at corals. It doesn't seem to tear or eat them, just nip at them so they close up.

A great fish to add to your tank. Constantly on the move grazing on algae. A very fast acclimating fish as well. Within 40 minutes of being released, it was out and about investigating the tank. I also have a greyhead wrasse and the two of them are constantly hunting around the tank together. As the discription says, provide plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing.

This fish is my favorite in my tank! He swims in and out of my live rock and hasn't nipped at any of my chromis or inverts. This is just a very cool and personable fish!
