Overview
The ornate pattern of the USA Aquacultured Pavona Coral gives it a mysterious and exotic presence sure to command attention in any reef display.
USA cultured Pavona Coral is a forgiving SPS (small polyp stony) coral that tolerates less-than-ideal conditions. However, the USA Pavona Coral does best under moderate to high light levels and strong random currents within the aquarium. Calcium, strontium, and other trace elements should be added to the water for its continued good health. Maintain a calcium level of 400-450 ppm and dKH of 8-12 with the addition of a two part calcium and buffer supplement.
The USA Pavona Coral satisfies the majority of its nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within its body. While it may not require additional food to maintain its health in the reef aquarium, the Spring Green Pavona Coral will benefit from the addition of micro-plankton or foods designed for filter-feeding invertebrates.
The USA cultured Pavona Coral is mounted on a small black plastic plut that can be placed easily and securely in or between the rockwork in the reef aquarium.
