Preparing for Your New Arrivals

Preparing for Your New Arrivals

For successful acclimation into your home aquarium, we suggest the following step-by-step Acclimation Procedure.

Tips for welcoming home your new arrivals:

  1. Specimens have the best chance to thrive when acclimated according to our Acclimation Procedure into a quarantine tank or an established aquarium.
  2. Water conditions for aquatic life should follow the appropriate ideal water parameters for home aquariums.
  3. Some species are recommended for experts only and due to the care level required to ensure healthy survival of these species after transit, we recommend that only the expert marine aquarist, zoo, or research institution purchase them.

Expert Tip:

Quarantining new arrivals in a separate tank for two weeks and using an Ultraviolet Sterilizer to limit the chance of infection will greatly increase your new tankmate's chance at thriving in your aquarium environment.
