The Cabomba, also known as the Carolina Fanwort, has fans of purple-backed lacy foliage, which are divided into narrow segments with green tops that are crowned with white flowers in summer. It is commercially available in a variety of forms. Can be placed in small pots or directly planted in gravel on pond bottom.
Cuttings removed from mature, healthy plants achieve propagation of the Cabomba plant. This plant helps oxygenate and clarify the pond water as well as to minimize algae growth. Cabomba plants provide much needed shade and protection to your pond fish, as well as providing a spawning material. Can spread 12-24". 1 dozen plants. Zones 5-11.
