Reef Packages let you naturally control algae, maintain crystal clear water, and keep your sand bed sifted. The number of cleaners provided in these packages are based on years of experience, and are tailored to provide enough cleaning power for each specific size aquarium.
Reef Packages are a formidable offense that will put algae and detritus on the run. Hermit crabs mow down Filamentous (hair) algae, and snails wipe away film algae. Additionally, the crabs in this pack attack various microalgae (including cyanobacteria) that may be found in the aquarium. The Emerald Crabs rid the aquarium of Bubble Algae. And scavenging Peppermint Shrimp rid the tank of uneaten food and Aptasia Anemones.
Some of the invertebrates within this pack are opportunistic feeders, and if food is not available to them, they may turn to supplementing their diet with small fish, corals or invertebrates. If insufficient algae becomes available, supplement their diet with dried seaweed or a quality flake or pellet food.
