The Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish is similar to the Maroon Clownfish except it has yellow stripes on the forehead, midsection, and tail, instead of white. They are strikingly beautiful, with the trademark spine on their cheeks.
A 30 gallon or larger aquarium is desirable as is a host anemone such as Bubbletip Sea Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor). It is aggressive towards other clownfish, and they are difficult to maintain together, making it best to house them singly with fish that are the same size or larger. They may spit gravel at human visitors in an attempt to intimidate.
The Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish diet consists of meaty items such as frozen shrimp and herbivore preparations.
Do not move the Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish with a net as its cheekspines will become entangled. Use a specimen container if capture is necessary.
Approximate Purchase Size: Small: 3/4" to 1-1/4"; Medium: 1-1/4" to 2"; Large: 2" to 3"

Ā Very active and fun fish to watch. I have two,and they love on each other and are always moving and playing in the substrate.
Great fish that will keep you entertained. I call mine Princess as she is very particular about her territory and food. Bold enough for an aggressive tank.
The Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish is a beautiful and colorful addition to my tank. She can also hang tough in an aggressive tank. Believe it or not, she bullies my Niger Trigger if he gets to close to her territory.
These are one of the greatest fish to have in a tank. Ours has taken to building a little home on his own by hauling pieces of coral. Beautiful fish! Not for use with other clowns, as we found out the hard way.
This is a great fish to add to your tank. It is very hardy and when it grows older, the maroon turns to a yellow and the fins have yellow tips. I've had mine for over two years now and it has grown into a wonderful addition.
I ordered my Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish from the Divers Den section. Within 10 minutes of being in the tank, she staked out her spot and was eating 2 types of flakes and frozen brime. She doesn't seem to bother the other fish unless they get at the entrance to her cave. Very vivid colors and wonderful looking fish.
This fish is a great addition to a tank. It gets along with much larger and smaller fish in the tank. Not very active but almost swims aimlessly in and out of caves and corals creating a great scenery for the fish. Also will eat anything dropped in the tank. This fish, at least, has shown no real aggression.
I have a female Yellowstripe and she is beautiful! I've hosted her with a Bubbletip Anemone which I've had extreme success with. I love to watch her play in her anenome, it is so amusing. If you plan to host the Yellowstripe, I would definately recommend the Bubbletip.
