Overview

The Yellow Body Yellow Tuxedo Guppy is a perfect example of the many unique and prized varieties of guppies that have been developed through many years of painstakingly selective breeding. An ornamental fish, these beauties will add a lot of interest to your aquaria.

Distinguishing characteristics of Tuxedo Guppies match those of the elegant white shirt and dark pants look in formal wear. Yellow Body Yellow Tuxedo Guppies have lighter upper bodies, dark lower bodies, and vibrant yellow tails.

A smaller fish, this species can make its home in tank sizes of 10 gallons or more. With their peaceful nature, they make great additions to an existing environment with other easygoing fish with similar tank and water requirements.

The Yellow Body Yellow Tuxedo Guppy is a hardy and energetic fish, which makes it a good choice for beginners. They are live bearing fish and are fairly easy to breed when provided with a covering of floating plants and a breeding box to protect the fry from adults. The fry should be fed brine shrimp, micro food, and pulverized flakes. For adults, algae-based flake food, along with brine shrimp and freeze-dried bloodworms make for excellent nutrition.
