Maintenance and Care
Warning: Failure to carry out routine maintenance or leaving the pump under reduced or no flow conditions for long periods (for example, with a blocked filter) will result in accelerated wear.

Before carrying out any maintenance, pump MUST be disconnected from the electrical circuit.

Do not lift the pump by the electrical cable since this may cause irreparable damage to the cable, which cannot be replaced if damaged. Pick up by grasping the pump housing.

Use only clean water to lubricate impeller assembly and shaft. Do Not Add Lubricants!

Winter Care
If there is a danger of water freezing, the equipment should be removed from the water, cleaned with water, and stored in a frost-free location for the duration of the winter. If the pump is required to run throughout the winter, it is advisable to move it to shallower water (on a marginal shelf for example) to minimize disturbance to the fish resting in warmer water, which collects at the bottom of the pond during colder months.
