All-natural treatment with Tea Tree (Melaleuca) botanical extract rapidly treats aquarium fish bacterial infections. API MELAFIX provides a safe and all-natural way to treat bacterial infections, open red sores, fin and tail rot, open body wounds, eye cloud, pop eye, body slime & mouth fungus. Helps rapidly repair damaged fins, ulcers, and open wounds as well as promoting regrowth of damaged tissue and fins.

API MELAFIX is excellent for use in reducing the risk of potential disease outbreaks when introducing new aquarium fish. Treat new additions to smooth the transition from store to home and to reduce the risk of existing fish from developing potential disease harbored by the new fish.

API MELAFIX will not discolor water, affect biological filter, or pH during treatment. Safe for live plants. For use in freshwater aquariums. 8 oz treats 474 gallons.

Directions
Use the API Dosing Cap on Bottle. Shake Well.
Remove activated carbon, if possible.
Dose: Add 5ml per 10 US gallons of aquarium water. Disease or Wound Treatment: Dose daily for 7 days. After 7 days, make a 25% water change. Continue treatment, if necessary.
Adding New Fish: Dose daily for three days.

TIPS
Use with API PIMAFIX to synergistically treat a broad range of infections. MELAFIX can be used with all API products, including medications and water conditioners. Laboratory studies proved that MELAFIX is safe for even the most delicate fish species, including tetras, discus fry and scale-less fish like Clown Loaches. MELAFIX has been tested and found to be safe in reef aquariums containing invertebrates such as live coral and anemones. Treating with MELAFIX will not harm the biological filter. MELAFIX is harmless to live aquarium plants.

API recommends turning off the protein skimmer and UV sterilizer when treating with MELAFIX.

Note: a slight harmless foaming may occur during the treatment.
