overviewThe Sea Robin, sometimes called the Bandtail Sea Robin, is a blend of browns, reds and whites, and has large wing-like fins. This beautiful fish gets its name from its appearance, which looks like a bird at rest.
The Sea Robin also has legs, and spends time hiding on the bottom of a 70-gallon or larger aquarium with a sand bed. An aquarium with live rock is also beneficial for this species, as it will use the rock for hiding and for a feeling of security. It will occasionally walk across the sand bed in search of food.
When first introduced into the aquarium, live saltwater feeder shrimp should be used to entice this fish to eat. The diet consists of live feeder fish, glass shrimp, and a variety of other meaty foods.
