overviewThe Striped Dottyback, also known as the Sankey's Dottyback, is a beautiful black and white striped fish. The dorsal fin and edges of the caudal fin are transparent. Once a rarity in the home aquarium, they are now more commonly available due to successful captive breeding programs.
A 30 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of hiding places is ideal. They will prey on pests such as bristleworms in the aquarium, making this fish ideal for the reef aquarium. If more than one Dottyback will be maintained together in the aquarium, it is important to add them at the same time to the aquarium and provide many hiding places among the rockwork.
Captive-Bred Pseudochromis are very hardy and durable fish making them a perfect addition for the novice or seasoned aquarist.
The Striped Dottyback is a carnivore, and should be fed meaty foods such as marine fish, mysis shrimp, crustacean flesh and quality frozen fish preparations. Be sure to feed them daily.
