Add some sunny splendor to your aquarium with this challenging favorite. The Rainfordi Butterflyfish, also known as the Rainford's Butterflyfish, is predominantly bright yellow, boasting two broad gray-blue stripes on the body bordered with flaming gold lines. There is also a striking brownish line running through the eye, and a dark false eye at the base of the tail.
The Rainfordi Butterflyfish survives by eating corals in the wild and has a difficult time adjusting to a new diet. It might be willing to try a coral skeleton coated with mashed meats. Because of its very selective diet, it should be kept by only the most experienced aquarists. The Rainfordi Butterflyfish requires a 70 gallon or larger aquarium that contains peaceful tank mates to smooth its transition to aquarium life.
