Overview

The Pinktail Triggerfish has a handsome emerald-green body and a bright pink tail. Yellow accents the body at the face and pectoral fins with darker flecks on the scales.

A 180 gallon or larger aquarium with rocks and caves provides a good environment. With caution, it can be housed in a reef aquarium, but will eat any crustacean and small fish.

The Pinktail Triggerfish needs a varied diet of meaty foods including; squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their ever growing teeth.

Customer Testimonials

Pete Martorana Howell , NJ
A beautiful and very peaceful fish. He is my favorite trigger. He swims all over the tank... very active. The Humma is very similiar in personality. The clown is much more agressive.
Daniel English Jacksonville , NC
My Pinktail, with the exception of eating shrimp, is completely reef safe. He readily takes any food; brine, flake, nori, and assorted feeders. He likes to play with empty shells by relocating them around the tank, and the Trigger actually helps spread my corals by carrying small coral skeletons around the tank that have Zoo frags growing on it.
